5th International Data Science Olympiad (IDSOL 2025)

Hosted in Hong Kong ("HKSAR") for 2025 were the final competitions of the 8th International Blockchain Olympiad (“IBCOL 2025”) and the 5th International Data Science Olympiad (“IDSOL 2025”), collectively hosted at the 2025 Emerging Technologies Olympiads (“ETO 2025”) conference, organized by the Königsberger Brückeninstitut MTÜ (“KBI”), sponsored by RedotPay, and supported by Airwallex, Google, Canva, Alibaba Cloud, PwC Hong Kong, IEEE Hong Kong Section, InvestHK, Startmeup.HK, DBS, HKSSA, GGC, CityU Data Science, HKMU School of Science and Technology, and other academic institutions in HKSAR. The event was hosted over two days:

Olympiad Exhibition: Wednesday, October 29th @ Diocesan Girls' School
Olympiad Symposium: Friday, October 31st @ Swire Blueprint (Taikoo Place)

As the flagship programs of KBI, both IBCOL and IDSOL are global annual competitions that invite students to explore blockchain, cryptography, trust technologies (“BCTT”) and data science and artificial intelligence (“DSAI”) by proposing or producing projects focused on practical applications themed around the Sustainable Development Goals (“SDG”). IBCOL and IDSOL alumni worldwide leverage their experience and the community to work in deep tech or enterprise solutions across various industries, as well as in entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial pursuits.
